Zürich Airport commercial turnover climbs +2.6% year-on-year in October

SWITZERLAND. Commercial turnover (sales from shops and restaurants) at Zürich Airport rose +2.6% year-on-year in October, to CHF50.4 million (US$50.7 million).

Airside turnover climbed a healthy +6.7%, but landside turnover fell -3.1%.

Turnover per departing passenger was CHF36.60 (US$36.79), a slight decrease of -0.9%.

Year-to-date commercial turnover hit CHF481.6 million (US$484.1 million), a +5.3% rise. Airside sales in the period from January to October surged by +9.0%, while landside sales grew marginally (+0.4%). Passenger traffic growth in the year to date climbed by +6.8% to 25.1 million.

Turnover per departing passenger between January and October hit CHF38.30 (US$38.50), a decline of -1.4% compared to the same period last year.
