Zürich Airport unveils major ‘Trinity’ promotion involving airport and all its commercial partners –

SWITZERLAND. To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the new Airside Center, Zürich Airport has unveiled a major collaborative promotion in association with its various business partners.

The promotion began on Monday and runs for four weeks. “It is of interest within the framework of “˜Trinity’ [the concept of mutual co-operation between airports, their business partners and brands – Ed],” Zürich Airport Head of Marketing and Real Estate Peter Eriksson told The Moodie Report.

“With this promotion we have managed to involve most players within the commercial scene at the airport.”

They include:

– The airport’s media partner, Clear Channel, by supporting the promotion with mega posters and posters
– Handling Agents (Swissport/Jet Aviation), by handing out shopping vouchers/booklets at check-in and transfer counters
– Airlines, by integrating the promotion in arrival videos and inflight magazines
– All commercial partners, participating with a minimum of one special offer
– Brand owners/suppliers, by supporting with special offers as well as special pricing

Communication tools include a 300sq m mega poster in the parking area. This can be seen by all travellers leaving Zürich/Switzerland. Additionally posters can be found in many strategic positions in and around the airport

Shop locations are being heavily branded with this statement. Flags and posters are placed throughout the Airside Center and within all stores. And the front of each store features the signature candle light promotion logo, along with the special offer granted from that store.

Other publicity includes POS material in each outlet; a shopping voucher/booklet that is distributed through handling agents at check-in and transfer counters; flyers within all parking facilities and at elevator points; internet; Radio 24 publicity and press releases.

Eriksson said: “We are by this promotion trying to give added value to our flying consumers, to boost sales for commercial partners and brand owners, and to offer a platform to promote brands and to increase revenue for all involved. This is one of our first major initiatives to promote the commercial activities at the airport.”
