The new summer scorcher, Ralph Hot |
FRANCE. Ralph Lauren Fragrances (L’Oréal Produits de Luxe International) has unveiled two new feminine scents: Ralph Hot and Ralph Lauren Pure Turquoise.
The former, described as sexy, flirty and fun, targets females aged 15 to 25, who are “youthful but sophisticated”, according to the company. It complements Ralph Hot, which was unveiled two years ago (The Moodie Report.com, 14 July 2004).
The fragrance will be launched in June in Europe and Asia, with the Americas roll-out scheduled for June-November, depending on the different territories.
The juice is a mix of sensual mocha cream, spicy cinnamon and maple. “Hot takes the Ralph Lauren Fragrance portfolio into a whole new olfactive territory, the gourmand fragrance category,” explained Ralph Lauren Fragrances President Worldwide Signe Gammeltoft. “Gourmand is an exciting new direction for Ralph Lauren Fragrances.”
The fragrance is presented in a purple flacon, accented with bold splashes of turquoise, yellow and hot pink. The outer carton echoes this colour-scheme.
The product line-up comprises 30ml, 50ml and 100ml edt sprays, plus a 200ml shower gel and 200ml body moisturiser. The latter two items are presented in practical flip-top tubes.
The recommended domestic price points are €47 for the 50ml edt and €65 for the 100ml.

In other news, Ralph Lauren is launching Pure Turquoise, a high-end fragrance, with more selective distribution. It is being introduced this month into certain travel retail markets (Dubai, Moscow, the UK, the Mediterranean) and in Asia. The Americas roll-out is scheduled from April to November.
The juice is described as a floral chypre: a exotic blend of cassis, night blooming cereus and earthen patchouli.
The fragrance is available as a 30ml parfum, and 40ml and 75ml edp sprays. The edps are presented in faceted glass flacons topped with a silver cap. The parfum, topped with a genuine turquoise stone, has been designed to appeal to collectors.
The recommended domestic price point is US$55 for the 75ml.
