RUSSIA. Passenger traffic through Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport rose +5.5% year-on-year to 4.512 million from January to May 2006.
Of the total, international passenger traffic edged up +2.3% on the year to 3.127 million, while domestic traffic climbed by +13.5% to 1.386 million.
In May alone passenger traffic rose +5% year-on-year to 1.072 million, the airport said.
State-owned Sheremetyevo serves more than 100 Russian and foreign airlines.
In 2005, traffic numbers fell -5.4% year-on-year to 12.174 million.
