Ideal for a winter tan: Piz Buin Summer Sensation Gradual Self Tan |
SWITZERLAND. Piz Buin has launched a new range of self-tanning face cream and body lotion ideal for those seeking a healthy complexion with fuss-free skincare.
The Piz Buin Summer Sensation Gradual Self Tan can be used daily. The sunless tan is said to be produced by ingredients that react naturally with proteins in the upper layer of the skin; the most active agent is dihydroxyacetone (DHA).
The range comprises Piz Buin Summer Sensation Gradual Face Cream 40ml and Piz Buin Summer Sensation Gradual Body Lotion 200ml.
The colour develops within an hour of application, and continues for several hours until the skin achieves a natural-looking tan. The result is temporary; the tan fades as the skin rejuvenates to replace the dead cells in the outermost layer of the skin.
Users can determine their level of tan using this method, according to the company. Once they are satisfied with their tan, they can have a break of one or two days before reapplying the product. It minimises the likelihood of streaks, patches or orange tinge occurring.
“They are quick and easy to apply as a normal face cream or body lotion, and at the same time lend the skin a soft-holiday glow,” said Piz Buin.
The method provides a ‘coloration’ effect and does not protect the skin from the sun, the company cautioned. Piz Buin recommends that the product be used with a reliable sunscreen, such as its Piz Buin In Lotion SPF 30.
