High performance: The Vertu Ascent Ti’s silhouette is designed to emulate the curves of a sports car |
UK. Luxury mobile phone manufacturer Vertu will launch the next generation of handsets – the Vertu Ascent Ti collection – next month.
The Vertu Ascent Ti is a quad band, 3G handset, with a 3 mega pixel flash VGA camera. The core collection comes in three colours: black or red leather with black sapphire or mocha brown with silver sapphire.
The recommended retail price is £3,600.
Handcrafted in the UK, the Vertu Ascent Ti is designed to emulate the sculpted curves of a sports car, while the on-screen chronograph and offset illumination of the keypad is designed to echo precision dashboard instruments. The name is drawn from the chemical symbol of Titanium – “˜Ti’.
The materials making up the Ascent Ti include tanned cow-hide leather, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal face and polished ceramic. Components are hand assembled by trained craftsmen.
The Ascent Ti comes with three bespoke ring tones created by David Arnold, the composer behind many James Bond soundtracks. The ring tones are complemented by a series of automotive-themed backgrounds.
Vertu users are offered secure protection by Ascent Ti’s “˜Vertu Fortress’ technology which offers remote synchronisation of contacts, calendar and notes. The data is then backed up and stored in a high security server. Users can have access to their private data via a personal account on vertu.com. This application means that if a customer loses their Ascent Ti phone, all their data can be quickly re-instated to a new phone.
The Ascent Ti also provides access to the Vertu concierge service available 24 hours a day anywhere in the world. Vertu Concierge can help customers with queries from recommending a local restaurant to making a theatre booking.
