Fidani Business Executive Eiling Lim presenting Fidani Finest Chocolate Creations to the international market at the 2008 TFWA Asia Pacific show

MALAYSIA. Fidani Finest Chocolate Creations, established in the Malaysian domestic market since 1997 and present in all the country’s major airports, is expanding into the international travel retail market.

“We feel that it is time to showcase Fidani internationally and hopefully we can secure a number of international airports, starting with the Asian and Middle Eastern countries,” Fidani Business Executive Eiling Lim told The Moodie Report during the TFWA Asia Pacific show.

As a first-time exhibitor at the Singapore fair, Lim described the event as enjoyable and an eye opener into the international duty free business.

“We have been preparing for the show for more than a year and I am quite satisfied with the results of the show, although we could still improve on things such as the stand location and the display.

“There were a number of interested buyers,” confirmed Lim, and she looked forward to Fidani making headway into other international duty free outlets.

Lim said the Selangor-based chocolatier had invested to achieve the right packaging and products to appeal to the international market, starting with its Classic and Symphony collections.

“These products are aimed at business travellers, tourists, high income earners and those who appreciate handmade gourmet chocolates,” she said.

Fidani chocolates are handcrafted and contain neither additives nor additional fat other than cocoa butter. They are completely Halal certified and contain no liquor, thus appealing to Muslim customers.
