Trinity Forum gets off to spectacular start in Bangkok

Airports of Thailand President Serirat Prasutanond greets guests at the Opening Cocktail

THAILAND. Travel retail executives from around the world gathered in Bangkok last night for the start of the 2011 Trinity Forum, with the Opening Cocktail hosted by Airports of Thailand in a stunning riverside location.

The stylish opening event took place at the Sala Rim Naam, part of the landmark Oriental Hotel, on the banks of the Chao Phraya river.

Guests were welcomed by AoT President Mr Serirat Prasutanond who encouraged visitors to enjoy the event and to experience the best of what Thailand has to offer during their stay.

Around 270 delegates are expected at the Forum, which runs from 9-11 February and is organised by The Moodie Report in partnership with Airports Council International.

The Forum’s line-up of speakers features CEOs and senior representatives from some of travel retail’s biggest and most forward-thinking companies in the most powerful line-up in the event’s history.

After the closure of the conference on Friday afternoon, delegates will have the extremely rare privilege of visiting one of Bangkok’s most stunning landmarks – the Vimanmek Palace, the world’s largest golden teakwood mansion. Normally closed to the public, this beautiful location will welcome Trinity Forum delegates for an exclusive tour and a private garden party featuring displays of Thai music, dance and culture.

Our hosts have also generously offered to host a golf tournament at the VR Sport Club on Saturday February 12. Non-golfing delegates will be offered a fantastic alternative – a tour of Bangkok’s Grand Palace and the fabled Jim Thompson House.
