INTERNATIONAL. ARI has marked World Clean Up Day (20 September) with a series of volunteer-led initiatives across its global retail network, reinforcing its commitment to community and environmental stewardship under its Journey with Purpose ESG strategy.
From beaches in Bahrain and Barbados to rivers in Montenegro and public parks in Saudi Arabia, ARI teams came together to remove litter, protect local ecosystems and give back to the communities where they live and work.
Bahrain: The ARI Bahrain Duty Free team (pictured below) partnered with the Clean Up Bahrain Organisation to restore Janabiya Beach, clearing debris that posed risks to marine life.

Barbados: Volunteers from Caribbean ARI (below) joined forces to “keep Barbados beautiful” with a beach clean-up effort.

Saudi Arabia: ARI’s King Khalid International Airport Ahlan Avenue team (pictured below) gathered at Al Nada District Park for a community-driven waste-removal initiative.

Montenegro: ARI Montenegro Duty Free staff (seen below) focused on river restoration in Tivat, removing harmful waste from local waterways.

ARI Interim ESG Lead Tracy Ross said: “Giving back to our local communities and supporting the local environment are key elements of our People pillar within Journey with Purpose. Since launching the strategy in April, our business has stepped up as a leading force in ESG.
