Mars International Travel Retail (MITR) is celebrating after winning a top supplier award at the ISPY 2011 cabin crew training event held in Brighton last month.
Mars International Travel Retail Manager UK Martyn Westbury collected the Best Product & Supplier Café category award on behalf of the confectionery company at the gala event, which took place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel on the last night of the conference.
The M&M’s flagship store was one of several businesses outside the immediate inflight environment to give a presentation on training, rewarding and recognising frontline sales staff at the event.
“We are delighted to be recognised at the first-ever ISPY Supplier Showcase, where airline delegations worked together to select the product range for ISPY Airways,” enthused Westbury.
“The results of the listings were added to testimonials supplied by the airlines, in order to give the supplier and product awards for Gift and Café categories winners. Crucially, these are our current and potential customers voting!”
During five days of workshops, training, presentations and entertainment, representatives of cabin crews of the world’s airlines and their suppliers shared their experiences of inflight retail at ISPY 2011.
