Heathrow Airport launches free Personal Shopping service

Personal touch: Supermodel Erin O’Connor introduces the new service

UK. Heathrow Airport has launched a new service – Personal Shopping – which provides travellers with an accredited stylist free of charge to give them an individually tailored retail experience.

The hub described the service as a “˜first’ for an international airport and said it would bring together over 300 outlets at the airport with a bespoke consultation that can be booked ahead of time or accessed on arrival at the airport.

Available throughout the day, personal shoppers fluent in Russian, Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, French and Portuguese will offer the service to all passengers, with no minimum spend required.

Supermodel Erin O’Connor co-hosted an event at Somerset House in London today to launch the new service and she explained how she found personal shoppers to be helpful.

“Travel has been and still is a huge part of my life. The Personal Shoppers at Heathrow have incredible fashion and beauty insight which means they can pull a selection for me before I even arrive at the airport,” she said.

“I can make the most of my time before I board my flight and know that I will have everything I want for my trip.”

Personal Shopping is the latest in a line of services available at Heathrow as part of its retail offer. It is complemented by home delivery, online product reservation, free beauty treatments and Shop and Collect.

Heathrow Retail Director Muriel Zingraff-Shariff said: “The launch of Heathrow’s Personal Shopper service is a world first, and one that we’re immensely proud of. We’re always looking to introduce new services which will benefit our passengers and help them make the most of the time.

“Whether you’re flying for business or leisure our Personal Shoppers can help you treat yourself or find the perfect gift for a loved one.”
