Aramis has expanded its Perfume Calligraphy series – developed specially for the Middle Eastern consumer – with a new Saffron scent, described as a unique, contemporary interpretation of the king of spices. It is being launched this month in Europe, the Middle East and Africa travel retail doors.
Perfume Calligraphy Saffron adds a sweet and earthy expression to the collection, according to the brand. The debut Calligraphy fragrance was introduced in 2012, followed by Perfume Calligraphy Rose last year.
In keeping with the line’s established brand codes, Graphic Designer Tarek Atrissi has illustrated the packaging for a third time, this time featuring a visual reflection of the word “saffron” in script.
The juice was inspired by the sensorial experience of a Middle Eastern spice market, according to the brand. “The fragrance has great depth, composed of unexpected layers that enhance the enigmatic and alluring qualities of saffron,” noted The Estée Lauder Companies Senior Vice President, Corporate Fragrance Development Worldwide Trudi Loren.
The fragrance opens on notes of marigold and bergamot, building to a heart of saffron, Turkish Rose Absolute and lavender. The base blends Styrax, vetiver and Tonka bean.
