USA. HMSHost and Airmall USA have teamed up with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Sammy Hagar to open Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Hagar, who was the former lead vocalist of American rock band Van Halen, joined representatives from HMSHost, Airmall and the airport last week for a grand opening celebration of the new restaurant with a ribbon cutting and VIP reception.
“What could be more appealing to travellers than combining great music and dining? With a menu developed from the recipes of some of my favourite friends and celebrity chefs, and the ambience of a beach vacation, travellers will be able to relax and unwind before their flight,” said Sammy Hagar. “Working with HMSHost to develop Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill has been an unparalleled positive experience.”
HMSHost Senior Director of Business Development Bryan Loden said: “We have had such an exciting partnership with Sammy Hagar with the opening of Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill. This is our fourth Sammy’s location and we’ve found that travellers love what Sammy brings to the airport – great food, fun music and a relaxing beach atmosphere. Located in Concourse A of the airport, Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill welcomes travellers with “fun, vibrant colours and an electric atmosphere, just like a sunny day at the beach”, HMSHost described. Highlights of Sammy Hagar’s and Van Halen’s rock and roll fame, such as guitars and musical memorabilia, along with surfboards and palm trees, adorn the walls and ceilings as surf-inspired tunes play in the background.
The menu features beach and music-themed dishes such as Baja Seafood Bisque, Hall of Fame Carnitas and Walleye Tacos. Early travellers can also kick off their trip with breakfast dishes such as the Los Cabos Omelet.

Our Cleveland team wanted to bring something fresh and exciting to the airport. With this new addition, travellers can enjoy a festive island experience year-round.”

Sammy Hagar will donate his profits from this restaurant to Cleveland area food banks and children’s charities through the Hagar Family Foundation.
