Favarger to make TFWA Asia Pacific debut with new praline range

Swiss chocolatier Favarger will introduce a new range of pralines with a ten-month shelf life during its debut at the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition in Singapore next month (stand number: D30).

Favarger Export & Travel Retail Manager Pierre-Yves Benoist said the decision to take part in the exhibition is part of the company’s expanding strategy for travel retail and Asian domestic markets.

“We can see and feel a real interest for high end chocolate and luxury products,” he said. “Asian consumers are looking for brands with a strong heritage as Favarger and a real story to tell.”

Underlining the potential of the brand, Benoist added: “We are processing chocolate from beans to bars with a unique taste and know-how. Our strong roots in chocolate industry offer us a real advantage compare to the others players on the market.”

Part of the Favarger 2015 Collection, the new long-life pralines are based on a chocolate recipe dating from 1826. Presented in two boxes – 16 pieces (110g) and 36 pieces (240g) – the pralines are 100% natural without conservatives, and use raw ingredients sourced from Switzerland wherever possible.

Positioned towards the high end of the chocolate praline market, the new range marks a “real turning point” in the Favarger offering. “This new range marks the beginning of a new chapter in fine taste,” the company stated. “It is an affirmation of our authentic know-how, combined with the values of innovation, thanks to an incomparable design, a signature recipe, original, high-quality ingredients, a texture which is delightfully smooth and at the same time crispy and an unmistakable flavour, all presented in a stylish box.”

Favarger has also added three new fruit-flavoured 100g chocolate bars to its Heritage range: honey and almost milk chocolate (38% cocoa), apricot and dark chocolate (66% cocoa), and blackcurrant and dark chocolate (66% cocoa). Also new to the Heritage range is the 200g Wooden Pencil Box containing an assortment of 16 miniature dark and milk chocolate bars.

The 2015 Christmas collection will comprise a 200g Christmas Metal Tin containing 16 miniature chocolate bars in traditional dark chocolate and milk chocolate flavours,
