Inflight Sales Group captures Peach Aviation onboard retail concession

ASIA PACIFIC. Leading onboard retail specialist Inflight Sales Group (ISG) has signed an agreement with Japanese low-cost carrier (LCC) Peach Aviation to manage its retail programme, in a deal that covers both its international and domestic networks. It follows a tender for the business. The new programme begins on 1 August.

This will become ISG’s fourth airline programme in Japan, and its third LCC customer there, following its launch onboard Vanilla Air in December 2013, and its domestic launch earlier this year with Spring Japan (which will expand to international flights on 30 August).

ISG Group Managing Director Tony Detter said: “ISG is very pleased to launch our inflight retail programmes on board Peach; the airline has been quite successful in creating an innovative brand image and proposition in the Asian marketplace and continues to expand throughout the region. We see significant potential to improve its retail offering and drive its revenue. Peach itself provides an intriguing brand platform from which ISG will deliver many exclusive products and services to the passengers.”

Detter added: “ISG has a unique position in the Japanese market. We can offer Japanese airlines our unparalleled international marketing expertise combined with a Japanese-developed in-house technology solution, and our Japan based team’s operational expertise and clear understanding of Japanese service standards.

“While maintaining a Japanese native and fully tri-lingual support team in our Hong Kong headquarters, we have significantly expanded our operations and capabilities in Japan this year. [We are] the only concessionaire to offer a fully bi-lingual, Japanese-developed, end-to-end software platform which can simultaneously handle sales of food & beverage, duty paid and duty free programmes.”
