Beam Suntory launches travel retail exclusive 16yo Laphroaig

Smoke in the water: Laphroaig’s signature Islay peat smoke flavour finds intense expression in the travel retail exclusive

Bean Suntory Global Travel Retail has launched Laphroaig 16yo, a limited edition celebrating the 200th anniversary of the distillery.

This new release (abv 48.4%) is exclusive to travel retail; RRP €45 for a 350ml bottle.

Laphroaig 16yo offers tastes of citrus, accompanied by notes of vanilla and fruit. The addition of water gives a more intense fruit aroma with notes of caramel; the first taste is described as peppery, but then the liquid mellows to offer fruit flavours with a hint of sea salt and the signature Islay peat smoke for a dry finish.
