Light and modern: The Gorgeous Kitchen in Heathrow Terminal 2 serves global cuisine using British-grown produce |
INTERNATIONAL. HMSHost International-operated The Gorgeous Kitchen has been named as the best airport restaurant globally.
The restaurant, located at London Heathrow Airport, came top of a list compiled by The Daily Meal, with CNN, Conde Nast Travelers and Travel Channel.
The Gorgeous Kitchen serves global cuisine made utilising British-grown produce. The “light modern dishes” created by the four British female chefs – Gee Charman, Sophie Michell, Jo Pratt and Caroline Mi Li Artiss – in conjunction with HMSHost, were singled out for praise.
Legal Sea Foods at Logan International Airport, Boston, ranked second in the list, with Sushi Kyotatsu, at Narita International Airport, Tokyo, Brasserie FLO at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, and Globe@YVR at Vancouver International Airport rounding out the top five.
