Bacardi has won 18 medals in the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) 2017 across its portfolio of Dewar’s blends and single malts.
The well-respected ISC spirits competition is based on an independent judging process. Now in its 22nd year, the ISC said it received more than 1,300 entries from nearly 70 countries.

Bacardi Global Travel Retail Managing Director Mike Birch said the majority of the winning Dewar’s Scotch whisky variants were available in global travel retail.
“We’re delighted with this significant achievement for Dewar’s, given the status and industry respect for ISC medals,” he commented.
“We recognise the importance of age statements as a key purchase motivator for whisky consumers right across the globe, especially for ‘second stage luxury shoppers’ from emerging markets. With the steady rise of sophisticated Chinese and Indian travellers, we are increasingly selling to new whisky connoisseurs and collectors from these countries – and they are absolutely driven by discoveries of aged whiskies with robust brand intrinsics.”
