USA. Concessions International has opened a Shake Shack ‘roadside burger stand’ at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The Concourse A restaurant is a joint venture with H&H Hospitality, an Atlanta Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.

Shake Shack is known for its Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, flat-top Vienna beef dogs, frozen custard and crinkle cut fries. According to Concessions International, the burger specialist enjoys a cult-like following around the world. It opened its first Atlanta location in Buckhead in 2014.
Shake Shack Vice President Global Licensing Michael Kark said: “Shake Shack couldn’t be more excited to touch down in the world’s busiest airport. This marks an important step in our travel venue growth, and we’re delighted to bring together even more passengers from around the globe for a ShackBurger.”

An official opening is planned in October and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Concessions International CEO Donata Russell Ross, H&H Hospitality CEO Randy Hazelton and city of Atlanta and airport officials.
“The Shake Shack brand is world-famous and a great addition to serve the global travellers coming through Hartsfield-Jackson. We look forward to working with the entire Shake Shack team as we open this new location in Atlanta,” Russell Ross said.
Hazelton added that H&H Hospitality was “absolutely thrilled to bring a best-in-class brand to a best-in-class airport”.
