Sunglasses specialist Maui Jim has released an Asian Fit collection which was developed to suit specific Asian facial profiles.
The first four styles of the new range – Ebb & Flow, Shallows, Taro and Water Lily – will be presented at next month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore (Basement 2 K9).
Maui Jim said Asian Fit styles include wider and flatter frame fronts, longer temples and light frames and offer PolarizedPlus2 protection from glare, High Energy Visible (HEV) and ultraviolet (UV) light.
The square-shaped Taro and more rounded Water Lily feature light nylon fashion frames with clear MauiBrilliant lenses. Colour combinations include Pink with Lilac interior and Maui Rose lenses; Caramel with Pale Pink and HCL bronze lenses; Aquamarine with Blue Hawaii lenses; Navy with Light Blue and Neutral Grey lenses and Translucent Grey with Neutral Grey.
The lightweight titanium Shallows aviator and minimalist Ebb & Flow come in five colourways: Dove Grey with Blue Hawaii lenses; Satin Gold with HCL Bronze; Matte Brushed Burgundy with Maui Sunrise; Brown Red Satin with Maui Rose and Matte Black with Neutral Grey.
Maui Jim said it will include Asian Fit styles in its popular Beaches, Nautilus, ‘Opihi, Spinnaker and Triton ranges later this year.
