INTERNATIONAL. Min Yong Jung has been named Senior Retail and Commercial Analyst at The Moodie Davitt Report. His appointment, the first of its kind in travel retail media, also marks the creation of the Moodie Davitt Business Intelligence Unit, a new division that will provide a new level of research and analysis for the travel retail channel.
Jung, currently based in Seoul, South Korea, will be based at The Moodie Davitt Report headquarters in London from early July.
He has considerable experience in the analysis of the travel retail channel and related consumer goods markets. He most recently worked as an equity research analyst both on the buy and sell side of the finance industry at Kiwoom Asset Management and CLSA in Seoul. Jung is an arts graduate in International Affairs from George Washington University in the USA.
He reports to company Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.
Moodie said: “We are delighted to boost our team – and our services – with such a key appointment. Min Yong’s experience of analysing datasets and publishing his findings from interacting with industry experts, together with his extensive knowledge of the travel retail channel and Asian consumer markets, will serve both us and the industry well.
“We have well-advanced plans to boost our research capability through the new Business Intelligence Unit and Minyong’s appointment is a cornerstone to the realisation of that platform. His expertise will also add considerable weight and insight to our daily coverage of the travel retail sector.”
