Shiseido Travel Retail releases summer line-up of skincare products

Shiseido Travel Retail has unveiled new multi-functional skincare lines from Shiseido, Anessa, Elixir and IPSA

Shiseido Travel Retail has launched new skincare innovations from Elixir, Anessa, IPSA and flagship brand Shiseido. They are now available in selected regions in travel retail.

According to the company, the new lines address a wide range of skin concerns by offering multi-functional skincare benefits ranging from sun protection to pore care solutions.

Generation Research noted that skincare grew by +36.2% to reach US$14.9 billion in 2018 sales and contributed 47.2% of the total perfumes & cosmetics category that year.

Flagship brand Shiseido has relaunched its White Lucent Illuminating Micro-Spot Serum, which has been reformulated with ReNeura Technology+ and a new Sakura-Bright System. The serum promotes brighter-looking skin by targeting uneven skin tones, dullness, and dark spots caused by sun exposure.

The new formula is lightweight and has been infused with a refreshing green floral fragrance. It is easily absorbed by the skin, leaving it smooth and moisturised for 24 hours. The White Lucent Illuminating Micro-Spot Serum is now available in worldwide travel retail.

Anessa

Sun protection brand Anessa has revamped its entire beauty sunscreen range. This includes the Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Series, the Whitening Series, the BB Series, and the Spray Series. The complete range is now available in Asia Pacific travel retail.

The 10 product line-up is available in a range of formats that feature advanced UV-protecting technology. The new lightweight and water-resistant formulations consist of 50% skincare ingredients that protect against sun damage and nourish skin.

The Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Series is comprised of the Perfect UV Sunscreen Gel, Perfect UV Sunscreen Spray, and the brand’s best-selling Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk.

The milk has been infused with Triple Defense Technology; combining the brand’s Thermo booster technology, which strengthens UV protection veil with heat; and Aqua Booster EX Technology, which strengthens UV protection in contact with water or sweat. The Perfect UV Sunscreen Milk is exclusively available in travel retail in a 90ml format.

The Whitening Series is made up of the Whitening Face and Body Gel (90g) that offers UV protection with whitening and moisturising effects; while the BB Series is made up of four different shades of the water-resistant BB Base. The base is equipped with UV Protection SPF50+ PA++++ and contains Aqua Booster technology.

Finally, the Spray Series is comprised of the Perfect UV Sunscreen Bubble Spray (60g) for face, hair, and body. The water-resistant spray is equipped with SP50+ PA++++ and Aqua Booster EX Technology that leaves skin protected and refreshed.

Elixir

Elixir has debuted its new ‘Reflet’ skincare line. The range offers firming and pore care skin solutions that hydrate and maintain the skin’s moisture/sebum balance. The Reflet line consists of the Reflet Balancing Bubble, Reflet Balancing Water, and Reflet Balancing Milk.

The Balancing Bubble is a cleansing foam that deep cleans pores, while the Balancing Water and Balancing Milk contain Prunus Persica Kernel Complex and Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Complex to control excess sebum, minimise pores, and hydrate the skin.

Elixir has also launched a limited-edition White Sleeping Clear Gel Pack, which revitalises the skin overnight and combats skin damage. The Gel Pack features a leave-on gel formula that hydrates, brightens, and firms skin. It comes in a blush sakura-themed packaging.

IPSA

Ipsa has launched a travel-exclusive duo set of its popular Luminizing Clay. The clay is dual-function product that can be used both as a mask and as a scrub. It is now available in Asia Pacific travel retail.

The Luminizing Clay has been infused with sea mud that removes excess sebum while simultaneously hydrating and plumping the skin with Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate.

The Ipsa Luminizing Clay functions both as a mask and as a facial scrub. It is now available as a duo-set in travel retail.

Going strong on Globuy

As a lead business partner of The Moodie Davitt Report, Shiseido Travel Retail’s story has also appeared in Chinese and with a consumer voice on fast-growing Chinese B2C WeChat social media account Globuy [玩转全球免税], as part of a new collaboration between Globuy owner Extra-Aile Media in Shanghai and The Moodie Davitt Report.

Globuy aims to become “the KOL of Chinese travel retail” and already has 400,000 followers and a monthly audience of 1 million views for its WeChat social media platform promoting new launches, product availability, promotions and special offers. Underlining the strong affinity and complementary nature of the two companies work, Globuy has dubbed The Moodie Davitt Report “the KOL of travel retail B2B media”

Under the agreement, selected stories from The Moodie Davitt Report.com’s lead brand partners in beauty, fashion, luxury, confectionery and premium spirits are also published by Globuy in Chinese. These include product reviews by the Globuy team.
