FRANCE. Series 2 of the smash hit Netflix series Emily in Paris features famed French department store La Samaritaine, home to one of the great travel locations, Samaritaine Paris Pont-Neuf by DFS.
In June 2021, La Samaritaine was the setting for several scenes in the new season, including an extravagant shopping session by Emily (Lily Collins) at the store inviting viewers to discover the renowned Parisian landmark.
Just a few weeks before the 23 June reopening, the Netflix crew filmed the rebirth of La Samaritaine after 16 years of closure. In July, new scenes were again shot under the historic glass roof and the peacock fresco during an exceptional evening with the entire cast of Emily in Paris: Lily Collins, Kate Walsh, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Camille Razat, Lucas Bravo, William Abadie, Bruno Gouery and Lucien Laviscount.
The scenes shot in Samaritaine are shown in episode 4 ‘Jules and Em’ and episode 9 ‘Scents & Sensibility’ now available on Netflix.
