In this edition, The Moodie Davitt Report Brands Director Hannah Tan-Gillies catches up with Newmark Senior Managing Director Nadine Heubel (former CEO of Heinemann Americas) during the recent TFWA Asia Pacific show in Singapore for a ‘walk and talk’ style interview around the company’s portfolio of fashion and beauty brands.
Looking back on her first TFWA Asia Pacific event as part of the Newmark team, Heubel says, “It’s been a great show. This marks the first time that Newmark has exhibited in Singapore and we’ve received great feedback from our clients and partners.”
Heubel introduces Newmark’s portfolio of fashion, jewellery and beauty accessory brands, including Anatomie, Diamanti Per Tutti and Spectrum.
“Anatomie is an athleisure luxury brand,” Heubel says. “Its tagline is ‘Designed to Fly’ and they make clothes that are perfect for travelling. All the samples we have on the stand fit in my carry-on suitcase and are super comfortable to wear.”
Describing Diamanti Per Tutti, Heubel says: “Diamanti Per Tutti is a demi-fine jewellery brand originating from Antwerp, which is the diamond capital of the world. The name translates to ‘A diamond day every day’ and while it has only been in the channel for two years, it is now present in over 40 cruise ships.”
Spectrum is a beauty tools brand that was founded by two sisters, Sophie and Hannah Pycroft, from their garage in Barry, Wales. “Spectrum is vegan and cruelty free. It’s really colourful and has a wide range of travel retail-exclusive products which can be personalised based on different popular travel destinations. It also has a very colourful cocktail-inspired makeup brush range as well as special collaborations with famous makeup artists such as Ash Holmes, who makeup artist to the Kardashians.”
Offering her insights into Asia’s regional travel recovery, Heubel says: “Asia was the last region to recover and come back. While we may not be back to 2019 numbers yet here, I’m very confident that we will get there.” ✈
