Visa and Duty Free Americas offer traveller benefits through new partnership

AMERICAS. Leading travel retailer Duty Free Americas (DFA) has struck an agreement that grants special benefits to Visa cardholders when making purchases at its stores. Participating locations include Panama Tocumen International Airport, Punta Cana International Airport, El Salvador International Airport and Cartagena de Indias Rafael Nuñez International Airport.

The partnership, which offers benefits to travellers using Visa, initially spans key DFA locations in Latin America & Caribbean

By using Visa credit, debit or prepaid cards issued anywhere in the world, travellers can redeem benefits for purchases at participating DFA stores, as well as restaurants and bars. DFA noted that it offers access to over 2,000 brands across multiple categories.

“Our inaugural partnership with Visa is just one of the new initiatives we are launching at Duty Free Americas as we continue to innovate in-store to reward our shoppers,” said DFA Vice President Dov Falic. “With a shared commitment to offering a seamless shopping experience and secure payments, we’re excited to develop a long-term partnership with Visa offering exclusive benefits for their cardholders across the Americas.”

The agreement extends to F&B outlets at participating airports

“Recognising the relevance that airport duty free shops have for international travellers, Visa partners with Duty Free Americas to offer a variety of exclusive benefits to Visa cardholders in-store,” commented Visa Senior Director of Cross-Border Business Development, Caribbean and Central America Santiago Rega.

“As Duty Free Americas continues to grow at pace across the Americas, it’s of strategic importance for Visa to develop a partnership with this leading travel retailer to offer our cardholders convenience, security and ease of digital payments.” ✈
