Muscat Duty Free celebrates prestigious Great Place to Work certification for 2024

OMAN. Muscat Duty Free (MDF) has been named one of the great places to work in Oman for 2024 by well-known research firm Great Place to Work.

MDF runs the duty free stores within the departures and arrivals areas at Muscat International Airport.

The travel retailer is the first duty free company in the Middle East to have earned this recognition, which reflects what is described as exceptional employee experience fostered at MDF.

This certification is based on the outcome of the Trust Index survey conducted by Great Place to Work Middle East.

This survey gauges employee satisfaction across key areas, including trust, respect, fairness, camaraderie and overall workplace experience.

A summary of MDF’s scores can be found on the company’s Great Places to Work profile, with notable highlights including:

  • 91% of colleagues feeling their contributions are recognised and rewarded
  • 90% of colleagues reporting MDF as a great place to work
  • 90% of colleagues experiencing strong and positive leadership
  • 90% of colleagues enjoying effective communication channels within the company
  • 87% of colleagues expressing pride in MDF’s achievements
