WHSmith North America inaugurates two stores at Edmonton International Airport

CANADA. WHSmith North America has opened two stores at Edmonton International Airport, The Shoppes at Whyte and Postcards from Edmonton.

The Shoppes at Whyte, located in the Central Hall, is a marketplace that draws inspiration from the historic Whyte Avenue in Old Strathcona, one of Edmonton’s most-renowned neighbourhoods.

Travellers are welcomed by a vibrant mural painted by acclaimed Edmonton artist Adriana Cruces.

Designed to offer travellers a glimpse of Edmonton’s history and culture, the stores are the retailer’s inaugural locations at the airport with more to follow

The Shoppes at Whyte offers a diverse selection of products including fresh grab-and-go items, artisanal food, snacks and beverages, wellness and beauty essentials, reading materials, tech gadgets, and locally crafted gifts.

The Shoppes at Whyte takes its design cues from the historic Whyte Avenue in Old Strathcona

Postcards from Edmonton showcases the city’s natural scenery and vibrant cultures. The store’s décor features vintage suitcases and trunks, adding an element of nostalgic charm and adventure to the shopping experience.

Travellers can discover a range of travel essentials, souvenirs and grab-and-go items.

Postcards from Edmonton showcases the city’s natural scenery, evoking a sense of adventure

Postcards from Edmonton and The Shoppes at Whyte support Edmonton- and Alberta-based artisans, enabling travellers to take a piece of the region’s distinctive culture with them.

Both establishments showcase products from local brands such as Armadillo Leather Handbags, Misiyo Candle Co, BLK Rose Candle, Homework Letterpress Studio, Hideout Distro, Still in Town, Stephanie Simpson. Additionally, visitors can indulge in culinary offerings from local food & beverage vendors such as Caramunchies, A Worthy Cookie, Colleen’s Chocolates and The Cove Tea Company.
