Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail has extended the Martell Cordon Bleu City collection with Martell Paris Exclusive Edition, in time for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.
The edition is exclusively available with Extime Duty Free (Lagardère Travel Retail and Groupe ADP) at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, and at Martell’s home in Cognac.
This release builds on the success of the Cognac house’s Hainan and Singapore City editions launched last year.
Illustrations of Parisian cultural icons and landmarks adorn the packaging. Its vibrant blue-and-gold box features a window, allowing consumers a preview of the bottle inside.
According to Pernod Ricard research, 54% of global travellers purchase duty-free exclusives and limited editions, which are also a top luxury purchase trigger.
The Olympics are expected to attract more than 1 million travellers, many of whom will be looking for a souvenir. The Martell Cordon Bleu Paris Exclusive Edition is thus positioned as both a gift option and an addition to personal collections.
Lagardère Travel Retail Director of Alcohol Supply & Purchasing Victoire Gueugnier commented: “Paris 2024 Olympics represent another historic landmark for France and its capital, so we are delighted to partner with Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail to offer this bespoke gifting proposition.
“We believe it is more than worthy of such a momentous occasion and look forward to welcoming travellers into our stores to discover the exclusive offer from the world-famous maison Martell.”
Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail General Manager EMEA Antonio Duva said: “We are committed to delivering the finest travel retail experiences for our customers and offering them exclusive products to enhance their journey.
“The Martell Paris Exclusive Edition fulfils this promise, while also signifying a special union of three French companies, proud to celebrate the third Olympics to be staged in Paris.
“We are delighted to launch this edition on the global stage in the sensational setting of Paris Charles de Gaulle’s Terminal 2E; home to some of the world’s leading luxury brands and global icons.” ✈
