Highclere Castle Gin is targeting the travel retail market after striking an agency agreement with 2.0 & Partners.
The super-premium spirit was created in response to growing consumer demand for luxury cocktail experiences.
Highclere Castle Gin is eyeing opportunities in travel retail after establishing a rising international local market presence since its launch. It is available in nine countries and 28 US states across more than 5,000 restaurants, hotels and retail locations. The brand will enter Latin America later this year.
Highclere Castle, commonly known as the ‘real Downton Abbey’ as the well-known UK television series was filmed there, is the English estate from which ten botanicals are harvested to create the gin’s “unparalleled flavour and complexity”.
Influences come from lavender originally planted by the Bishop of Winchester in the ninth century; citrus picked from the Victorian orangery and creaminess from Highclere oats. The eighth Earl and Countess of Carnarvon, owners of Highclere Castle, co-founded the brand together with American spirits entrepreneur Adam von Gootkin, who is also CEO.
Adam von Gootkin commented: “Having demonstrated that our gin is well-poised to be a category leader, it is a natural next step to expand in global travel retail and bring our brand to consumers across the world. We are excited to partner with 2.0 & Partners to bring this initiative to life.”
2.0 & Partners Senior Partner Sergei Bozhok added: “Highclere Castle Gin is an incredible product with an unmatched heritage and story which will inspire and enchant shoppers in the travel retail sector. We are delighted to be working with such an exciting and established brand which will bring a true flavour of British excellence and heritage for travelling shoppers.” ✈️
