NORTH AMERICA. Travel experience leader Avolta’s Journey For Good Foundation is celebrating a decade of impact with nearly US$1 million in new grants awarded to 39 charitable organisations across the USA and Canada.
The latest round of funding brings the Foundation’s total giving to more than US$5 million since its launch, marking a significant milestone in its mission to contribute to the fight against poverty.
Founded as Avolta’s charitable arm in North America, Journey For Good has supported more than 150 non-profit organisations over the past ten years.
Its grants have funded efforts to relieve hunger, combat homelessness, empower youth through education and provide job training and placement, with a particular focus on opportunities in the hospitality industry.
The Foundation’s mission builds on Avolta’s broader community engagement efforts, including volunteer work, food donations, fundraising initiatives and environmental programmes.
The Foundation funds its grants through voluntary customer donations made at Avolta-operated dining, retail and duty-free locations, where travellers can round up purchases to support its mission.
Hudson, an Avolta company, recently marked 15 years of partnership with Communities In Schools, raising more than US$5 million at checkout counters to help provide critical resources to 500,000 students nationwide.
