As reported, the airport company recently awarded a diverse array of food & beverage outlets to five partners – Airport Retail Group, SSP, Lagardère AWPL, McDonald’s and Emirates Leisure Retail Australia – after concluding an extensive Request For Proposal (RFP) process.

While travellers have had limited options during works to transform the terminal, their patience is about to be rewarded with an exciting array of new dining choices, said Brisbane Airport of the 13-outlet programme.

From local coffee favourites to global icons, the new offerings bring more choice, more flavour and more of what travellers love, right before take-off, the company added,

Brisbane Airport Executive General Manager Commercial Scott Norris said the new options are a major step forward in delivering the next evolution of International Terminal experiences.

“They are designed to meet the needs of today’s travellers and airport visitors while showcasing the best of Brisbane,” he said.

“We’re incredibly excited to unveil brand-new food & beverage options for our international passengers.

“Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a meal before your next holiday, there’s something for everyone. This upgrade is about celebrating the best of Brisbane and giving our customers more of what they love, great food, great coffee, and a great start to their journey.”

Coming soon: McDonald’s, along with fellow fast-food crowd pleasers Hungry Jacks and KFC, is poised to make its much-anticipated debut at the terminal

The first new outlet, McDonald’s, is scheduled to open in late December, with additional launches to follow throughout 2026. All 13 outlets will be fully delivered by 2027. ‍
