Italian wine & spirits house Bottega has joined forces with agroforestry platform Treedom to mark Italy’s Tree Day (21 November) by planting 500 trees, reinforcing the company’s ESG credentials.
The 500 trees have been planted across Ecuador, Tanzania and Madagascar, establishing the ‘Bottega Forest – A Breath for the Planet’ in these countries whose rich ecosystems face climate risks.
Bottega highlighted these initiatives as key to preserving the environment for the well-being of today’s population and future generations.
Sharing Treedom’s philosophy, the winery and distillery in Bibano di Godega (TV) supports the platform’s mission to allow anyone to plant a tree remotely and monitor its progress.

The selection includes a wide variety of species, including cocoa, coffee, lemon, lime, orange, neem, moringa, camphor, mahogany and tephrosia.
Bottega President Sandro Bottega said, “I embraced this project with enthusiasm because I believe that sustainability is an absolute value that cannot be limited to the perimeter of our company, within which we have made significant investments in energy saving, environmental protection and the well-being of the people who work there.
“Planting 500 trees in distant countries is the first step towards creating the Bottega Forest and giving something back to the planet that hosts us.” ✈
