INDONESIA. Travel Blue has opened a concept store with PT Karya Prima Unggulan-owned brand Travel to Go at Kualanamu International Airport.
The bright yellow store enjoys a prime location directly opposite passport control. Kualanamu International Airport is one of Indonesia’s busiest gateways, having served some 8.9 million passengers last year.
PT Karya Prima Unggulan is part of the powerful Mayapada Group, founded over 25 years ago by renowned businessman Dato’ Sri Dr. Tahir.
PT Karya Prima Unggulan’s vision is to become the leading retail company in Indonesian airports. It has collaborated with WHSmith since 2014 and was once the local partner of DFS Group.
Travel To Go is dedicated to providing travellers with essential products and quality destination merchandise.
Travel to Go by PT Karya Prima Unggulan Chief Operating Officer Lim Sou Ping said: “We’ve partnered with Travel Blue for many years and seen a consistent, strong performance and recognised the potential of this shop in the airport environment.

“With their expanded product range now including luggage, backpacks and the Memory Collection, it was a natural decision to create this space.”
The Travel Blue shop invites travellers to browse its wide range of travel goods and accessories, including travel pillows, earphones, power banks and electronic chargers, onboard luggage, backpacks and water bottles.
“Travel Blue is ramping up its visual presence with eye-catching displays and stand-alone units, elevating the brand and engaging with travellers,” said Travel Blue Regional Manager South East Asia Leonard Poh.
“The APAC market is strategically important and we are delighted to expand our partnership with Travel to Go by PT Karya Prima Unggulan in Indonesia. We look forward to rolling out this concept to other key airport locations.” ✈
