Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) is extending After Eight beyond its signature mint flavour with the introduction of three variants.
Launching from September, the expanded range will feature Caramel, Orange and Raspberry flavours alongside the original Mint recipe.
Caramel pairs a rich, buttery filling with milk chocolate; Orange combines a zesty citrus note with smooth dark chocolate and Raspberry offers vibrant fruit flavour encased in dark chocolate.
The roll-out will be accompanied by a refreshed packaging design across the portfolio complete with travel retail-exclusive (TREX) messages. Clear colour coding differentiates the four flavours, designed to aid navigation and strengthen shelf visibility.
After Eight will retain its distinctive individually wrapped chocolate envelopes, a longstanding element of the brand’s sharing proposition.

For travel retail, NITR will support the launch with dedicated merchandising and activations aimed at generating awareness and trial of the expanded portfolio.
NITR described the launch as the biggest innovation in After Eight’s history. The company said the expansion will extend After Eight into a wider range of gifting and self-treating occasions. It also forms part of the company’s focus on engaging younger adult travellers, including Gen Z consumers, through product innovation, premiumisation and experiential retail.
The After Eight range contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. It uses cocoa mass sourced from Nestlé’s Income Accelerator Programme, which supports more sustainable cocoa production and improve cocoa-farming livelihoods.

NITR General Manager Fred Porchet said: “After Eight has long been synonymous with premium mint chocolate, making it one of the most recognisable brands in confectionery. By introducing flavours beyond mint for the first time, we are broadening the brand’s appeal to new consumers and more consumption occasions while preserving the elegance and quality that have defined After Eight for decades.
“This innovation is particularly relevant for travel retail, where shoppers are looking for distinctive gifting solutions and premium products that offer something new,” Porchet added.
“The expanded range, together with refreshed packaging, travel messaging and engaging in-store activations, helps our retail partners create excitement, recruit younger adult shoppers and drive incremental growth within the premium confectionery category.” ✈
