MALAYSIA. Container Hotel Group-owned (CHG) CapsuleTransit has expanded its airport hospitality offering with a new Sleep Lounge in Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1, combining technology with dedicated facilities for pre-flight rest and recharge.

The 111.5sq m lounge, located on Level 5 of the Departures Hall, comprises 38 sleeping pods, including 28 single and ten queen pods, complemented by private bathrooms, locker storage and a coffee station.

The lounge offers a quick check-in option via a self-service kiosk, while a central control tablet allows guests to personalise their sleep environment.

Each pod features an adjustable recliner bed with three positions: flat, reading and zero gravity.

Adjustable mood lighting and pink noise are also available to create a more restful environment.

An integrated sleep-analysis system monitors selected sleep indicators during rest, including resting heart rate, movement and snoring.
If snoring is detected, the system automatically adjusts the bed position to help reduce it with minimal disruption to sleep.

A smart alarm gradually raises the bed from the flat position to the reading position to wake guests, providing a gentler transition before their onward journey. ✈
