Family-owned Italian wine producer Herita Marzotto Wine Estates is set to showcase its travel retail-exclusive (TREX) expression alongside a portfolio spanning ten wineries at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition (27 September-1 October) in Cannes (F3, Blue Village).
Building on a strong showing at last year’s event, the company highlighted growing confidence in the premium wine category, with shifting consumer preferences and rising demand for white and sparkling wines identified as key drivers of future growth in global travel retail.

The Cannes exhibition also offers a platform to engage new consumer segments, particularly younger travellers seeking quality, authenticity and new drinking experiences, as evolving tastes create fresh opportunities for premium wines across the channel, the company noted.
Herita Marzotto Wine Estates Export Director Giacomo Marzotto said: “Consumer tastes are evolving across global travel retail, creating new opportunities for premium wines. China has traditionally been a red wine market, but younger consumers are increasingly embracing white and sparkling wines.
“We’re seeing similar trends in other international markets, reinforcing our confidence in the long-term potential of these categories.”
The company highlighted China as one of the clearest examples of this shift, while Australia continues to perform strongly and Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, presents significant future growth potential.
Cannes highlights

Aligning with evolving market trends, Herita will spotlight key expressions at the Cannes show, including the travel retail-exclusive Santa Margherita Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, which continues to gain momentum amid growing demand for premium sparkling wine.
It will be complemented by Ca’ del Bosco, one of Italy’s leading Franciacorta producers, strengthening Herita’s premium sparkling wine portfolio through its focus on quality, innovation and organic vineyard management.
In addition, Herita will showcase wines from across its portfolio of ten wineries.
This year marks the company’s first appearance on the Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance stand, alongside fellow family-owned producers Albert Bichot, Cono Sur, González Byass, Masi, Symington and Famille Perrin.
Marzotto said: “The Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance brings together family-owned wineries with a shared commitment to quality and to growing the wine category in travel retail. By sharing ideas and experiences, we can strengthen the category and create even greater value for our partners and travellers.”
Herita will also join the Alliance’s networking event in Cannes and once again support the TFWA Lounge at the Carlton Hotel, with Santa Margherita Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore featured throughout the week.
Sustainability is a key part of the company’s long-term strategy, underpinned by its focus on viticulture, biodiversity and responsible production. Herita is the first and, so far, the only Italian wine producer to achieve carbon-neutral status, the company said.
Marzotto added: “The opportunities for premium wines in travel retail remain strong. By staying true to our heritage while responding to evolving consumer tastes, we’re confident in our long-term growth ambitions.” ✈
