MEXICO. Leading travel retailer Avolta has strengthened its partnership with airport company Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) with long-term travel retail contract extensions at Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos and Bajío International airports.
Together these airports serve more than 30 million passengers annually. The agreement reinforces Avolta’s status in one of its longest-established and strategically most important Latin American markets. The retailer’s partnership with GAP spans almost three decades.

Crucially, the agreement supports future growth through planned terminal expansions at Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta airports. Avolta is expected to expand its commercial footprint in both locations, with at least three additional duty-free stores planned at each of the new terminals.
Avolta said the stores will showcase the main duty-free categories alongside assortments that reflect Mexico’s heritage, culture and gastronomy.
Avolta President & CEO Latin America & Caribbean Enrique Urioste commented: “These extensions reinforce our long-standing partnership with GAP and strengthen our presence across four of Mexico’s most important airport locations.
“Building on nearly 30 years of collaboration, we will continue investing in innovative retail concepts that combine international brands with the best of Mexico. We are particularly pleased to secure opportunities within the future terminal developments at Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, providing a strong platform for continued growth in the years ahead.”
GAP has concessions to manage 12 airports in Mexico’s Pacific region. ✈
