INDIA. Experienced travel retail and aviation executive Harmeet Grover has joined Redesign Group’s growing network in India as Head of Strategy and Development – Travel Retail and F&B India.
Grover brings more than 30 years’ experience across aviation, inflight catering, airport retail and foodservice.

His appointment was announced on LinkedIn by Redesign Group Founder and Director Jo Pennycuick, who has worked with Grover in various capacities for more than a decade.
Under Pennycuick’s leadership, Redesign Group has built an international network of alliances and partnerships, with strong links to travel retail, extending its activities beyond its core design business into consultancy and business development.
With a base in London serving the UK and European markets alongside its wider international activities, the company claims to have designed and developed more than 3,500 projects across airports, malls and commercial developments.
More recently, Redesign Group has repositioned its business around an expanded consultancy offer spanning commercial and functional design, value creation, planning and operational efficiencies, sustainability, collaboration and strategic connectivity.
Pennycuick is also a Founding Member and Chief Strategy & Growth Officer of premium travel engagement platform Opula, where she is supporting its growth and global rollout across the aviation lounge and travel sectors, as reported.
On Grover’s appointment she said: “Harmeet is a highly regarded industry executive. With more than three decades of experience across airline catering, travel retail and foodservice, he has held senior leadership roles across India’s aviation and travel retail sectors with great success and professionalism.”
Pennycuick highlighted Grover’s involvement in some of the key developments in India’s airport commercial sector, from building international inflight dining operations at Jet Airways to helping establish and scale WHSmith’s airport operations in India.
She added: “Harmeet brings a valuable combination of commercial understanding, operational expertise and industry insight, which makes him a natural fit with Redesign Group’s vision and our growing mission in India.”

Grover spent more than 13 years as Chief Operating Officer & Business Head of Travel Retail Services, master franchisee for Lagardère Travel Retail’s Relay brand in India. There, he led the growth of Relay alongside a portfolio of in-house retail concepts across several categories.
Earlier this year, Grover stepped down from Travel Retail Services and established Bigfoot Collective, marking the start of a new consultancy and advisory chapter.
Through Bigfoot Collective, Grover says he is working with operators, brands and industry partners across areas including the AI-driven visitor economy, retail and foodservice concept development and design, special projects and fit-outs, product sourcing and development, and technology solutions.
The Redesign Group appointment follows another recent addition to Grover’s portfolio, as Strategic Consultant to tRetail Labs (read our story here), where he has joined the company’s expanding international advisory network.
In that capacity, Grover is supporting research initiatives, pilot programmes and industry collaborations, including work around the Airport F&B 2035 Initiative. ✈
