Perfetti Van Melle (PVM) is set to unveil the latest Mentos and Chupa Chups innovations at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Green Village M59), with four new concepts tailored to key travel retail consumption moments.
The concepts span refreshment, snacking and sharing, gifting, and impulse purchasing.

PVM will also demonstrate its shopper-focused initiatives designed to strengthen in-store brand visibility.
The Cannes showcase features Mentos Jumbo Roll Sour Tones, Mentos Mints Lemon, Chupa Chups Sleeping Masks and Chupa Chups Pouch Bags in Bites and Filled Bites variants
The event will also provide partners with an early view at PVM’s innovation plans and category development opportunities.
PVM’s focus areas for TFWA Cannes 2026

Extend flavour-led refreshment: PVM is focusing on Mentos Gum and Mentos Mints to tap the travel retail refreshment opportunity, with both offering strong potential for checkout visibility and on-the-go consumption.
Mentos Mints Lemon expands the range with a zesty flavour, giving travellers another option for on-the-go refreshment while responding to demand for sour flavours.
Jumbo Sour Tones extends the Mentos roll range with fruity flavours and an intense sour taste for shoppers looking for new flavour experiences. It complements the Gum Sour launch, which spans the snacking and refreshment segments.
Build snacking and sharing: Described by PVM as an important consumption moment in travel retail, snacking and sharing will be represented by the new channel-exclusive Chupa Chups Sour Bites range, available in two soft and chewy fruity formats. Sour Bites feature colourful layered pieces, while Sour Filled Bites have striped pieces with a centre filling.
Both variants are available in pouch bags, providing a convenient sweet-and-sour snack for the journey.
PVM will also outline its strategy for building momentum behind products launched over the past year, including Chupa Chups Mega Chups Sour, Mentos Gum Sour and Fruit-tella Sharing Bags.
These launches add new flavour options across convenient snacking and sharing formats and have attracted strong customer interest, PVM noted.
Bring playfulness to gifting: A new range of Chupa Chups sleeping masks will extend the brand into travel accessories, with panda, koala and leopard designs combining travel comfort with gifting appeal.
The concept forms part of PVM’s wider focus on travel retail-exclusive (TREX) ideas and lifestyle extensions that strengthen its brands’ presence in the duty-free environment
Create engaging shopper experiences: PVM is also highlighting its continued investment in shopper marketing, including high-impact displays, brand visibility initiatives and customer-specific retail executions. Its displays are tailored to individual locations to support impulse purchasing and drive engagement.
The Chupa Chups shop-in-shop at Barcelona El Prat Airport, developed with Avolta, serves as an example of PVM’s approach to experiential retail, with the company noting its strong performance.
PVM is exploring how elements of the concept can translate to smaller formats, while continuing to test new ways of engaging consumers at this key location.

Perfetti Van Melle GTR Director Michiel Goedvolk said: “Refreshment, snacking and sharing continue to be important consumption moments throughout the journey. At the same time, travellers, especially younger consumers, are looking for new flavours, surprising products.
“Our Cannes line-up responds to those needs, while our display solutions and customer-specific retail executions will help our partners create more engaging stores and stronger visibility for our brands.” ✈
