CHINA. Hainan Tourism Investment Duty Free (HTDF) is bringing a fresh line-up of brands and retail experiences to its Sanya flagship, with the latest additions set to open in time for China’s National Day Golden Week (1-7 October).
The latest additions span flagship boutiques, innovative concepts, first-in-Hainan launches and exclusive promotions, reflecting the retailer’s focus on delivering a more engaging shopping experience.
The initiative forms part of HTDF’s wider commitment to Hainan’s development as an international tourism and shopping hub.

The latest openings come as HTDF taps into strong commercial momentum across Hainan’s travel retail market, with sales at its flagship downtown location recording a +31.7% year-on-year increase in September.
HTDF is broadening its duty-free offer, elevating the tourism shopping experience and injecting fresh vitality into Hainan’s travel retail market.
Seeking to capture increased Golden Week traffic, the retailer is rolling out new brands across a broad range of categories, aligning its offer with evolving consumer trends and its premiumisation strategy.

The premium beauty and fragrance line-up spans several Hainan firsts, with HTDF welcoming Penhaligon’s, Perfume Box’s first travel retail presence in partnership with Eternal Group, and Bluespace’s first duty-free outlet in partnership with Bluebell.
New York luxury skincare brand RéVive and K-beauty brand Anua will also make their Hainan debuts, alongside a flagship pop-up from French dermo-cosmetic brand Galénic. Thai botanical wellness brand Harnn rounds out the line-up with its first Hainan store, as interest in the emerging wellness category continues to grow.

HTDF is expanding its outdoor and lifestyle portfolio to meet growing demand for outdoor sports, adding specialist names such as Swedish endurance sports brand Craft, which will open its first South China store. Other highlights include premium ergonomic pack brand Gregory, making its Hainan debut, and Lafuma, which is opening its first Sanya store.
HTDF is taking its spirits & wine offer beyond traditional retail with a new 700sq m destination combining shopping, bar culture, immersive experiences and discovery. The space will feature premium spirits and fine wines, custom cocktail tastings, cultural experiences and social-media-friendly activations.

Handcrafted drink samplings and a showcase of global liquor culture further enhance the concept, positioning spirits discovery within a contemporary, resort-style setting.
The gifts and souvenirs offer gets a refresh with the fully refurbished Lego store, alongside an expanded zone featuring signature keepsakes, local specialities and travel essentials for shoppers seeking last-minute gifts or Sanya mementos.

The food & beverage offer gets a gourmet boost with French-style ice cream bakery Luneurs joining HTDF’s resort shopping line-up.
Aside from its focus on new brand discovery, cross-category shopping and new product launches from leading brands, HTDF will amplify the holiday campaign through more than 100 KOS (Key Opinion Sales) influencers and around a dozen KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) across Red, Douyin, Kuaishou and WeChat. 🏝️
