CHINA. Shenzhen Duty Free celebrated the opening of its 100sq m arrivals duty-free store at Wuxi Shuofang International Airport on 30 September.
The shop complements Shenzhen Duty Free’s existing departures duty-free store at the airport, which opened in December 2024. Wuxi Airport is the second largest airport in East China’s Jiangsu province.
The opening ceremony was attended by Shenzhen Duty Free Group Chairman You Jiangwei and Vice President Liu Xiongjia, as well as representatives from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Finance, the Wuxi Municipal Government, and Wuxi Sunan International Airport Group, which manages Wuxi Airport.

In his remarks, You Jiangwei said the arrivals store is another key achievement in the group’s efforts to expand its Jiangsu market presence and deepen its national business footprint.
The store will leverage the group’s full resources and operational expertise to meet the diverse needs of Jiangsu travellers, elevate the airport’s service capabilities, and help boost cross-border consumption of Wuxi, he added.
To celebrate the launch, the company is rolling out a series of promotions tailored to consumer preferences in the Jiangsu region.
“Going forward, Shenzhen Duty Free Group’s Jiangsu subsidiary will strengthen coordination with local state-owned enterprises and deepen the synergy with our other Jiangsu projects,” the group said in a statement.
“By tapping into the local market potential and tracking traveller trends, we will continuously improve the store’s service standards and operating performance, advancing an integrated development framework for Jiangsu’s duty-free sector.” ✈
