CHINA. Japanese/French luxury skincare brand EviDenS de Beauté has opened its first-ever standalone boutique at the cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Hainan, in collaboration with China Duty Free Group (CDFG).
The “milestone opening” of the 70sq m store – in the prestige beauty area of the mall, at Unit 2F on the second floor – extends the skincare brand’s footprint in Asia.
As reported, EviDenS de Beauté celebrated twin openings with CDFG at the cdf Haikou mall earlier this year. And, in collaboration with travel retail distribution specialist Blue Chip Group, the brand unveiled a permanent counter at T Galleria Beauty by DFS in Hysan Place, Causeway Bay in January.
A further pop-up store launched at T Galleria by DFS, City of Dreams in Macau in February.
The brand’s latest Hainan boutique features a Spa Cabin, inviting visitors to experience ‘Art of Saho’ skincare treatments, including facials ranging from 30 to 90 minutes with each qualifying purchase. Meaning ‘ceremony’ in Japanese, each Saho is designed to optimise the application of products, helping to moisturise, protect and regenerate the skin with each step.
A first in travel retail for the brand, EviDenS de Beauté said its Spa Cabin offers travellers an elevated beauty experience.
EviDenS de Beauté Founder Charles-Edouard Barthes commented: “The opening of our first flagship boutique at cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex marks a pivotal step in our global expansion and augments our commitment to offering a high-touch, exclusive experience for discerning travellers.
“These significant milestones further establish our brand as a world-class leader in prestige skincare, solidifying our position in travel retail and on the global stage.
“This dedicated space in one of Asia’s premier luxury shopping destinations strengthens our prosperous relationship with CDFG and allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the EviDenS de Beauté universe, with access to exclusive products, personalised skincare consultations and treatments.
“By combining French elegance with Japanese skincare technology, we aim to deliver tailored beauty experiences that resonate with each traveller, fostering a lasting connection to the EviDenS de Beauté experience,” he added.
The boutique invites travellers into an immersive space that celebrates the brand’s French roots. In signature navy blue and gold, the store showcases hero products, while the Versailles Parquet flooring echoes EviDenS de Beauté’s French heritage.
Visitors are welcomed by an LED visual pillar highlighting the skincare range. Inside they can explore the Art of Masking station and discover the brand through a story wall which includes details about Professor Ishibashi San in Japan, recent launches, Brand Ambassador Carina Lau and Mask Ambassador Yangzi.
The boutique also includes a replica of Fontaine de La Foux, the source of the La Foux Spring Water found in all EviDenS de Beauté products.
Haikou International Duty Free Complex Member of the Party Committee and Assistant to the General Manager and General Counsel Niu Botao said: “As a global leader in prestige beauty retail, we are committed to enhancing the luxury shopping experience for travellers.
“Our partnership with EviDenS de Beauté allows us to meet the growing demand for exclusive beauty products and services in Hainan. The opening of the brand’s first flagship boutique, complete with its exclusive Spa Cabin, offers a unique and elevated beauty experience that we are sure will captivate and engage travellers.” ✈️
EviDenS de Beauté embodies the French ‘Art de Vivre’ and the age-old Japanese philosophy of ‘Kaizen’ – the constant quest for perfection – to offer a prestige skincare ceremony. Founded by Charles-Edouard Barthes and driven by his dedication to creating anti-ageing skincare suitable for his wife Eriko Nakamura’s hypersensitive skin, all products are developed and manufactured in Japan using “advanced Japanese technology infused with French elegance”. |
