“A winning combination”: New passenger lounge JV unveiled at Santiago Airport

CHILE. Passenger lounge operators TAV Operation Services and Servicios Aeroportuarios have established a joint venture in Chile.

Under the name Primeclass Pacifico, the companies have a five-year contract to operate two lounges at the terminal building of Arturo Merino Benítez Santiago International Airport. The JV will also offer meet and assist services to visitors.

TAV operates 41 lounges in 13 countries, while Servicios Aeroportuarios has 12 lounges in Chile. As a result of the new collaboration, Santiago has become the 23rd airport to join TAV’s portfolio of Primeclass lounges.

TAV Operation Services General Manager Ali Bora Isbulan commented: “By liaising with Servicios Aeroportuarios S.A., our company will have the opportunity to develop a regional hub that can allow TAV to set a significant footprint in a rapidly growing South American market, diversifying its geographical presence.

Servicios Aeroportuarios General Manager Ernesto Rios Castellon described his company as “a dominant established player in the Chilean market”.
