MALAYSIA. AirAsia has joined forces with Dufry to expand the retail offer available through its duty free shopping platform airasia shop.
Following the new collaboration, airasia shop (formerly known as airasia travelmall) now offers a broader product range with more than 1,000 new duty free items available at selected airports.
It also allows travellers the option to pick up their orders from Dufry’s outlets at three airports: Perth Airport Terminal 1, Siem Reap International Airport Terminal 1 and Phnom Penh International Airport Terminal 1. Purchases can also be delivered inflight.
This is the first partnership between AirAsia and Dufry. The airline has previously collaborated with other travel retailers.
Commenting on the collaboration, AirAsia Superapp Chief Commercial Officer Tan Mai Yin said: “We want to create a seamless and convenient experience for travellers, including their travel retail and duty free shopping experiences. By having a major global travel retailer brand such as Dufry onboard, we can now offer our app users and all travellers a better and wider inventory of duty free products.
