Airport food & beverage specialist BTA names Baha Bülbül as CEO

TÜRKIYE. TAV Airports’ food & beverage subsidiary BTA has announced Baha Bülbül as its new Chief Executive Officer. Bülbül, who has worked with the company since 1999, has a brief to drive BTA’s expansion in key areas including sustainability, digitalisation and globalisation.

Bülbül joined BTA as a Cost Control Manager and rose to the position of Business Development Director, which he held from 2006 to 2011. He moved from that role to serve as BTA Maritime Operations General Manager until December 2020, before becoming BTA Airports Chief Operating Officer. He switched to the CEO role on 1 May.

A graduate in Tourism Management from Bilkent University, Bülbül also holds an MBA, achieved at Istanbul University.

BTA has also announced that Volkan Cılga, Executive Board Member responsible for Production and Supply Chain at BTA, will serve as Vice Chairman of the BTA Executive Board in addition to his current responsibilities.

BTA has outlets in more than 200 locations across 14 airports in seven countries, including Türkiye, Georgia, Macedonia, Tunisia, Oman, Latvia and Croatia. ✈
