GEORGIA. ATÜ Duty Free, the partnership between TAV Airports and the Unifree Duty Free/Gebr. Heinemann joint venture, has unveiled a refurbished duty free store at Tbilisi Airport.
The main departure store has been reconstructed and expanded to 430sq m. It features about 80 luxury brands, among them Chanel, Dior and Armani. The store also showcases recent additions to ATÜ Duty Free’s portfolio including Dior Make Up Pro, Moncler, L’OCCITANE en Provence, Atkinsons, Kilian, Xerjoff and Rituals. The store has a flexible system of furniture in line with ATÜ’s sustainability approach.
The opening of a 400sq m Georgian Wine store accompanies the main store upgrade. This offers travellers around 50 local brands in the wine, food and souvenirs categories.

ATÜ Duty Free CEO Ersan Arcan said, “We are happy to add value to the most important airport of Georgia with our investment. Since the start of our operations at Tbilisi and Batumi Airports in 2007 and at Kutaisi in 2013, we have achieved significant growth in our duty free operation. In parallel with the expansion of our operation, our contribution to employment has also increased.
“We are glad to complete the expansion project with an investment of nearly €800,000 for the increasing number of passengers and the demand in duty free shops, expanding our operations in line with the future projection we have built for Georgia. Our new main duty free store at Tbilisi Airport will continue to offer passengers a unique shopping experience with a wide range of products, including local products, along with world-renowned elite brands in a 430sq m area.’’ ✈
