Bacardi partners with Delhi Duty Free to roll out Patrón El Alto tequila in India travel retail

INDIA. Bacardi Global Travel Retail has teamed up with Delhi Duty Free to unveil ultra-premium tequila Patrón El Alto at Indira Gandhi International Airport on 5 September, marking its Indian travel retail debut.

The launch of what is described as “one of the world’s finest tequila” is in response to the growing demand for high-quality, artisanal spirits in India.

The travel retailer highlighted the notable shift in the domestic spirits market with an increase in consumption of premium spirits, including tequilas.

From its casual party drink status, tequila is now appreciated for its luxury, craftsmanship and exclusivity, Delhi Duty Free said.

Patrón El Alto is crafted from 100% Weber Blue Agave, hand-harvested in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

The tequila is characterised by its distinctive flavour profile, offering rich notes of cooked agave, ripe fruit and citrus, balanced with subtle hints of caramel and vanilla.

The launch of Patrón El Alto at Delhi Duty Free highlights the strong and long-standing partnership between Bacardi and Delhi Duty-Free Services (DDFS).

Over the years, the partners have brought exclusive products to Indian travellers, reflecting DDFS’s commitment to reshaping travel retail in the Indian subcontinent and offering premium selections to global travellers. ✈
