Bacardi unveils travel retail-exclusive Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Tuscan Juniper

The limited-edition channel-exclusive expression highlights the distinct flavor of Tuscan juniper berries

Bacardi Global Travel Retail has launched the travel retail-exclusive Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Tuscan Juniper in selected airport stores globally.

The limited-edition super-premium gin is made with specially reserved, late harvest juniper berries from a single source in Tuscany. It has a bottling strength of 47% ABV and an RRP of US$55 for the one-litre format.

This new expression also highlights the established relationship that the brand and its newly appointed Master of Botanicals Alessandro Garneri have built with suppliers and farmers across the globe.

The juniper berries are dried naturally to preserve their rich flavour, producing a sweet, pine-fresh intensity, complemented by the subtle anise flavour of Tuscan fennel seeds.

Containing zero artificial flavour or essences, the London Dry gin is crafted through traditional methods passed down through generations.

The elevated notes of the botanicals used in the gin are extracted through the brand’s signature vapour infusion distilling process at its Laverstoke Mill Distillery in the English countryside.

Each small batch is cut by Master Distiller Anne Brock to showcase the best of the late harvest and to ensure every bottle is consistent year on year, the company noted.

According to IWSR, super-premium gin is set to lead the growth of the gin category, which is projected to continue being the fastest-growing spirits segment for the next four years.

IWSR also predicts that the super-premium gin category will double in the next three years, with premium and above sectors accounting for 45% of the gin category by 2025.
