BAHRAIN. Bombay Sapphire Revelation is continuing its worldwide tour, with one of the only five existing US$200,000 bottles recently showcased by Bahrain Duty Free at Bahrain International Airport. It will be available for purchase at the airport for two months.
As reported, the US$1 million Bombay Sapphire Revelation collection was created by leading New York-based designer Karim Rashid. Each bottle has been cut into the shape of a giant gemstone with ten principal facets to represent the ten botanical ingredients in the gin.
Each piece’s stopper was uniquely handcrafted with diamonds and sapphires by Garrard, the renowned London jeweller.

The proceeds from the sale of the Revelation will be donated in favour of the travel retail industry’s chosen charity, The Smile Train, which provides life-enhancing cleft surgery to children in poor countries.
“With Bombay Sapphire Revelation on the floor, it is certainly creating a good deal of interest from the travelling public and adds a new dimension of excitement at the duty free,” said Bahrain Duty Free General Manager Steve O’Connor.
Bacardi Global Travel Retail Division Regional Manager Erwin van Outheusden added: “We are thrilled with the launch of Revelation in Bahrain Duty Free, which offers travellers a memorable shopping experience in a luxurious environment.”
