Born in Roma: Valentino Beauty generates vast reach with celebrity event in Hainan

The Born in Roma celebrity event, starring Dilraba Dilmurat (迪丽热巴), drew huge crowds at the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex

CHINA. Valentino Beauty, part of L’Oréal Groupe, recently partnered with China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to host a celebrity event at the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay. The show drew a vast online audience of over 59 million viewers.

Held on 10 March, it was attended by Valentino Beauty Fragrance Spokesperson for Asia-Pacific, Dilraba Dilmurat (迪丽热巴) and showcased the brand’s popular Born in Roma fragrance line.

The vibrant promotion took over the atrium at the cdf Mall with a neon-coloured stage in pink, yellow and coral. Each colour symbolised one of the three Valentino Born in Roma fragrance duos. The stage featured studded details, paying homage to the signature rock stud motif of the fashion house.

Dilmurat kickstarted the event with an on-stage photo shoot. Afterwards, she presented the diverse Born in Roma fragrance collection and talked about how the scents cater to different personalities and occasions. Audiences at the cdf Mall were treated to exclusive gifts with purchase at the Valentino Beauty counter in the complex.

“Our fragrances are not just about smelling good,” Dilmurat said. “They are about creating a personal signature that is unique to everyone. We believe that our fragrances will allow consumers to express their individuality and enhance their personal style.”

The event was livestreamed in various Chinese social media platforms and drew over 59 million viewers. The livestream accumulated 855 million impressions and 273,000 engagements online.
